Pulse Check

Small and medium businesses have limited information to make decisions about energy. Monthly bills are often complicated and come only after energy has been consumed. Pulse Check is an easy-to-use software as a service tool that requires no time-consuming installations or training programs. Once logged on, users can see all of their important energy information at a glance, without having to sift through large amounts of data or complex utility terminology.

To help you better predict your energy use and costs for the current month, quarter or year, Pulse Check automatically provides you with a forecast for your energy consumption and cost until the end of the period specified. The forecast is created using an algorithm that is based on your typical consumption, energy rates and weather data. You’ll know your approximate energy cost before your bill arrives, and can take proactive measures to reduce your energy consumption and stay on budget.

Benchmarking Against Similar Buildings

Do you know how much energy your competitors are using? The Pulse Check benchmarking tool compares your building’s energy consumption against that of similar buildings across North America. Buildings of similar size, occupancy and use type are compared against each other and ranked according to their energy consumption. If your building ranks in the bottom quartile of your peer group, the approximate cost of this poor energy performance is calculated and tips are given to help you tap the savings potential of your building.
